Building the Shed for the Mechanicals (Feb 24/25)

Between the rain shows and a 4.4 earthquake, we managed to finish the plumbing at the front end of the pool and almost finish the mechanicals shed.

Finished the plumbing at the front end of the pool. Now we just need to connect the plumbing to the stuff in the mechanical shed - under the house and through the vents.

Before putting up the walls, we did a test fit of the major pieces of equipment - the water filtration system and hydrotherapy jet pump on the right. The hydraulic pump will sit on the concrete pad. It is heavy (120 lbs), so we aren't going to move it until the shed is ready.

Some construction details. We built the four walls and sheathed them before putting into place.

Door construction - they will hinge and swing out. Seem pretty secure.

The last wall going up. I had to paint the outside of this one - access between the wall and the sunroom is kinda tight.

A piece of roof panel put in place - just to seen how it will look.
dsc00597.jpg (103707 bytes)Decided to put 1" thick rigid insulation beneath the panels - the other walls will all be insulated (mostly for noise), so better do the roof too.
Now that the shed is all planned out, it shouldn't take very long to finish. And, enough is done so the electrician can come and hook up all the circuits for the pumps.
