Building the Shed for the Mechanicals (February 18)

Now we need a place to put all the mechanicals - water filtration system, hydrotherapy jet pump, and the hydraulic pump that moves the water. We decided to go about 6' square and 48" high - with a hinged roof for access. This should be enough room to store the sunroom shades and filters, and some windows (if not in use for some time).

This area will be filled with concrete and act as the foundation for the hydraulic pump.

Every time we think we won't see any more concrete, here he is - mixing again!

We are getting pretty good at this. Just for the deck and retaining walls, we've used about 40 bags of concrete!
The concrete pad was finished and the deck covered with 3/4 inch exterior grade plywood - but then the rain hit before I could get pictures.

The Space!

Okay, it's been a lot of work, but the space is actually starting to be usable. We cleaned up all the extra stuff and washed the deck in the "living room" area. Looking good. The flowers are from Valentines day.
